Bolt Browser

This is the full version of the Bolt Browser, version 1.5.  Compared with the "Lite" version of Bolt it has the following extra features; built in copy and paste, in-line editing, find in page, download manager, built in video player and can it switch the screen between landscape or portrait orientation.

The full version is only recommended if you have an i9 or possibly an i856, i870, i880 or i885.  It runs on lesser models like the i776 and i456  but isn't stable on them, use Bolt Lite instead.

Type: Freeware
Vendor: Bitstream- Product Page, Online Help, Forum
Data Connection Required: Yes
Supported iDEN phones: i9

(Nextel and Boost Mobile iDEN phones only).

Alternate links for side loading and non-iDEN devices: ZIP JAD JAR

    • Interesting. What kind of "stuff" are you downloading (games, apps, ringtones, images) and from what site? I never managed to download anything to my i776 using Bolt

  2. I have samsung star 3g (gt-s5603) and i am using bolt new version but when i download anything it is downloaded in phones memory instead of memory card

  3. Faster than a sidewinder chasin a jackrabbit, and loads entire pages. Only thing against it is that it eats memory like sally struthers around..well, any kinda food. Lil java garbage cleanup n itd be better than Opera 4.2 sometimes.

  4. Downloading is impossible on Motorola iDEN phone with any browser. Motorola locked down the Java APIs required.

  5. also say the broswer mite close. sorry about the multiple messages but if u cud help me out it would be really appreciated. thanks

  6. as far as pressing download but either it brings me to where i can pick a folder but then it says something bout new folder and i dont kno how to put it in my fone wit my other pictures. also it would sometimes give me a url to go to and also say the

  7. hello dennis i have a problem. um i kno bolt has a download manager, and i have a 8GB memory sd card inserted into my boost mobile i9. when i go on google or any other site and find a picture i like, i cant seem to download it. i kno the procedure as far

  8. I downloaded the Bolt Lite and the Full version. The Full Version runs slow on my I875, so I deleted it. The Bolt lite browser is good, but after using the Opera mini 4, it's okay.

  9. I just wish I could get a version to work on my BoostBerry. It's default is http connection and I get a firewall error when I first start it up and then it says there's no connection and closes when I click ok.

    Oh! For low-end Motorolas, the connection setting should also be set to SOCKET. Forgot that above.

  10. Nope, the phones don't support 3gp. That's a dead horse.

    This browser works fine and stable on lower-end phones like the i425 with some settings adjustments:

    Set magnification to large or greater;

    Set image quality to low or none;

    Turn off the inline text input;

    Set the display mode to mobile.

  11. yea, video dont work with bolt or mini opera. That sucks , but these browser or faster AND more pc like

  12. You have to use the green call button as the OK button in Bolt. However the videos don't seem to work.

  13. I can't get my center button to click selected links to play videos. Everything else works except that. Help! Any suggestions? Thx!

  14. how about a word find game

  15. boost is capped at 25kbps, thats just under half the speed of dial-up. even if you get it to work it'll be slooooww

  16. Hmm yea i have heard iDEN was pretty slow...thanks

  17. That's what happens for me on the i776. Motorola's IDEN phones don't seem to be compatible with Bolt's video player. Videos would be horribly slow on iDEN which has a transfer rate of only 19.2 Kbps

  18. help! i cant play any videos when i press play. on the wizard i failed twice but i dont kno why because i have a boost mobile i9. i would really like to view streaming video on my fone. can u help me?
