The UC Browser has been updated again to version 8.3 Here's what UC says is in this release:

1.   UDisk——Save once, download anywhere. Different from other net disks, UDisk works with almost all web resources, because it is essentially integrated with the browser. Just connect it with your UCWeb account, and you can save anything to UDisk, from local storage to web resources. Each file has an expiration date, from 7 days to infinity. There are 70MB for long-time storage and 2GB for 7-days storage. Extra storage space  will be available in the near future.
2.   App Gallery——Have fun with install-free apps. First introduced with our Android version, the app gallery is used by many users. You can read news, watch videos and sync bookmarks directly from App Gallery.  Currently, there are three apps : UDisk, for free online storage; Quick Reads, for quick scans of major headlines; and Online Bookmarks, for accessing your bookmarks anywhere you like. Although the initial version comes with only 3 apps, the app gallery will soon grow to be your web center.

As I expected UDisk, doesn't work on my Motorola Rambler which doesn't have a memory card and doesn't allow 3rd party apps to access internal memory. It will probably work on phones with memory cards. Everything else works on the Rambler.

iDEN phones: The OK button doesn't work and the softkeys are mapped wrong. Use the Call key as OK, use the right softkey as the left soft key, use the menu key as the right soft key.

CDMA phones: The soft keys don't work on the Motorola Rambler and probably other CDMA phones. If you get stuck in the options or high score menus, press the end call key and then  choose "No" at the  "Do you want to exit?" prompt to go back to the game's main menu.

The app "Aman's Rush Hour" (175 KB) is ready to download or send to your phone as filename: "RushHour".

This is the official Skype mobile Java app. It was discontinued in 2010 and is no longer supported, but it still works. At least the Chat (IM) part does.

At this point it's only been confirmed to work on the Sanyo Incognito. It loads on my Motorola i776 and Motorola Rambler but I can't get past the initial screen where you select your language. I can highlight English but none of the keys let me accept my selection and move to the next screen. BoostApps user Vintage Stephan tested  it on his Incognito and reports that it works perfectly for Skype IM, but he hasn't been able to get the voice calling feature working.

The way this app is supposed to work for voice calls is that it calls a US number to connect to the Skype network rather than using a data connection. So if you aren't on the unlimited plan, calls will not be free, even to Skype numbers.  Skype Lite is mainly useful for Skype IM and, if the calling feature would work, for cheap international calling. You are supposed to be able to make calls to Skype numbers anywhere in the world for the cost of a local call.   Skype IM is fully supported and uses only data.

I suspect this app will work on other Sanyo phones and possibly other non-Motorola phones. If you try it on any phone other than the Incognito, please leave a comment letting other users if it works.

MEBoy emulator with Pokemon Gold GameBoy  color ROM. Tested on a Sanyo Incognito by GhOsToFwAr who reports that it's a little slow but playable. Doesn't run on the Motorola Rambler.

It installs and runs on a Motorola i776 but is too slow to be usable. It will probably work well on more powerful iDEN phones like the i9 and i856.  If you try it on a different phone please leave a comment saying whether it works or not so I can update the supported phones list.

When the app starts choose the game and then press the softkey labeled Menu and choose Set buttons  to set up the keys you want to use.

An excellent freeware version of the classic breakout game Arkanoid. Ran well on both the Motorola i776 and the Motorola Rambler. Requires a 176x220 px or larger screen so it wasn't very playable on the 128 x1 60 i776 as the bottom of the screen was cut off hiding the paddle.

Keys left, right = move paddle; up = next ball; # = pause/resume; when paused, press the left soft key  for high scores and main menu.
