You can send most games and apps that you find on the Web to your phone using the Universal App Loader. For help with the Loader see: Detailed Universal App Loader Help and How to use the Universal App Loader without a PC .
You also make requests in the BoostApp User Forum's iDEN Games and Apps Wanted or CDMA Games and Apps Wanted sections and a community member may be able to help you.

Either Boostmobile or sprint DOES block does block jar and jad downloads. When they do this the only way to get the app youwant is to download it to a pc with bluetooth and then send it to your phone. I HATE that i cant even watch movies or tv no matter which mobile browser i download as they block the browsers that have macromedia. And now that i figured it out MY LAPTOP CRASHED! AAAUUUGH! There is another way though. You can download vids n stuff to your card n use the place where the charger plugs in as a tv/out, plug the usb end to your pc and watch on pc or go tv/out to your tv. If ur phone has enuf memory, download the vid to the phone and use the card slot as your tv/out as you will probably need to keep the charger plugged in or your battery runs down quickly when playing vids
Wierd, I've successfully downloaded hundreds of games and apps from this site to my Boost Mobile Motorola Rambler by clicking the JAD link. So whatever problems you are having is is not because Boost Mobile or Sprint is blocking jad downloads". On the other hand sending apps to the phone with Bluetooth does not work at all for me. What phone do you have that it works on?
I guess I wait for an upgrade on opera for viewing images full size then... UC Browser 8.0 is great for images but not video...
As for Opera... It still cant size videos on youtube to full screen like the native browser does...
So I use UC Browser for general Facebook viewing since images are full screen and has copy n paste like Opera... Then I use Opera to port youtube to Facebook... And the native browser I use strictly to watch videos! The native browser lacks the speed and multiple pages as well as copy n paste to be of any use to me online...
I think its easier to improve Operas video full screen and image viewing capability than to add video capability to UC Browser...

Is there away the Opera Mini 6.5 can enlarge images on Facebook??? I tried using a long click and it showed zoom and it doesnt blow it up... But the good thing is I can import YouTube to Facebook and view videos!
With UC Browser 8.0... I was delighted I could see full screen views of images on my screen but I can not see video on YouTube and it wont click my built in media player to view from this browser unlike the Opera Mini... Plus I cant port what I cant see to Facebook with UC Browser 8.0
That Facebook app is nice but is there away to turn off that blasted session thing????? I lose my place and everything... Tell the developers we will refresh our own apps... Dont need a session reset... Sheesh I cant win for losing between these 3 things.. And now BOLTs an all paying thing its dead to me now too...

It's Facebook that's resizing the photos. There's a "View Full Size" link below each photo but because it links directly to the jpeg instead of to a page with an image tag, Opera Mini makes you download the photo rather than displaying it in the browser. It's a combination of bad design by Facebook and a missing Opera capability. UC on my Rambler is currently refusing to connect to Facebook so I can't see what its doing.

The Ultra Warp has a faster processor, bigger screen, better camera and a hardware keyboard.
The Prevail is smaller, lighter and less expensive.

Not sure what you mean, Boost isn't blocking any sites. I've installed apps from GetJar on my Boost Motorola Rambler and played the crummy games on Fun For Mobile. I never tried Myxer but others have left comments here saying it works for them.
It's true that a lot of the apps on GetJar don't work but that's the fault of individual developers not Boost.
Does anyone have an app for a QR reader for the i465?

Is there a simple calendar program that will run on an i465 ? At the minimum - something that will display a month showing the days of a week and day, S M T W T F S
The built in Datebook app does that and has the advantage that it starts up instantlly and can be launched with softkey, arrow key or shortcut. I have my i776 set up to launch Datebook by pressing the right arrow key. Very handy for bringing up a quick calendar.

3rd party Java apps can't modify phone system functions like volume. If it's ringer volume that you want to increase, try different ringtones, some are louder than others.

Almost nothing is known about the ZTE Warp at this point. ZTE is a Chinese company best known for low end phones. The Warp may turn out to be a great phone or it could have issues (stability, poor GPS performance) like the similarly speced Huawei made Motorola Triumph for Virgin Mobile

I haven't found any way to download music to the Rambler but you can send full songs to it from a PC or another phone using Bluetooth. Full tracks take up a lot of space and storage is limited on this phone, there's only room for a few songs.

The built in browser is from Myriad.
Opera Mini 6 doesn't work for downloads on the Rambler, Opera Mini 4.2 and Bolt 2.5 worked when I tried them a while ago. But downloading apps is easiest and works best with the built in browser.

The built in browser works best for installing apps on the Rambler. Opera Mini 5 and latter don't work at all.

LOLLLLL at virgin mobile getting a brand new android phone just as boost is about to get one. if i had a choice of choosing one of the networks and one of the android phones the 'samsung transform ultra' or the ' LG Optimus Slider ' i would still go with boost and choose the samsung transform its way better than the LG optimus slider because of the front facing camera, Sprint ID new thingy, a better processor "samsung transform= 1GHz processor" "LG Optimus Slider=600 mHz processor" i think we have a winnner the samsung transform ultra ding ding ding ding hahha
on second thought i think i'll go ahead and buy the samsung tranform on the 24th nxt month way better features and im really not up for all the freeze's/lagg that the samsung prevail have because of low ram i tested out the transform for sprint cause my friend had it and it seems pretty good
I'm no longer with boost and go a premium smartphone with another company, but I can tell u android kills ur batt due to gps, location, display and application settings. U can have a very enjoyable experience with android but at the cost of your battery.
You can easily turn off them if your not using them i know im not, just a little web for facebook and txting thats all and juicedenfender reallly helps its an android app that makes you customize the way your phone works like you can set a certain time for your phone to enable data service web gps etc. The one feature i like is how you can make ur phone go into like a "airplane" mode state where you cant surf the web recives calls and txt untill you unlock your phone for me thats a great feature because where my school is you BARELY get any signal mostly is like 2 or 3 bars but throught the school day its search for service so my sanyo incognito dies like a hour before school ends so i think thats a nice feature for when i get the phone so i just go to the app set it and whens it locked all services are cut off so my phone wont search for service and die when im at school and when im ready to look if i have a txt when i know im in a class that i get good service i just unlock it will take a like a minute and then you have service again so thats pretty cool look it up on youtube people say they when from a 4 hour hardcore using there phone for everything to a 7 hour which is a big difference

I doubt that there will be an official 2.3 upgrade. The're aren't any third party ones either and no one seems to be working on any so it might be stuck at 2.2 forever.

Everyone's needs are different. It's also not clear whether you want to do all your blogging using only your phone or with a combination of PC plus mobile.
I've never used any of the pure mobile blogging platforms. I blog using self-hosted WordPress and Google Blogger. I almost always write posts with a PC but often moderate and reply to posts using Opera Mini on a phone. Both platforms work well for my purposes.
I don't know if it fits your definition of "blogging" but Twitter works well using just a phone

There were a lot of apps on this site that used GameJump so if you are seeing that error on other apps that's probably why. I've removed all the Gamejump apps from BoostApps so anything you download now should be OK.

Hello again Dennis. I'm kind of having a problem with my I856. Apparently Boost has no tech support for the DEBUT. while in call i will recieve a message saying "System busy 22" or "system error 481". Now i already know it's not a nextel phone (primarily because it's has "BoostMobile" tagging all over it.). I've found no way to Update the roaming capabilities and the programming is "Up-To-Date". So whilst bashing my head in and knowing that you've created this site primarily for applications. Could you possibly help me resolve my two error issues that are currently plaguing my poor little IDEN? (Sprint told me they wouldn't touch it with a "Ten Foot Pole".)
Error 22 and error 481 are both network errors propablly related to a tower being down or the system being over capacity. Only Sprint network support can fix network issues and as you've found out you can't talk to Sprint at all.
Boost CS' capabilities to fix anything are limited and they can't do anything about network issues. The best they can do is file a ticket reporting the issue.
While some Boost CS reps are not helpful many are. Keep calling back until you find one who is knowledgeable enough to recognize it as a network issue and file a ticket. It also might be helpfull to post your issue on Boost's Facebook Wall http://www.facebook.com/boostmobile or Twitter http://twitter.com/boostmobile
As for updating roaming, there's no roaming on Boost. On iDEN, doing a Master Radio reset is the closest thing to a CDMA PRL update. It's worth trying a Master reset as sometimes it helps with network issues.

Unfortunantly the only resolution i was capable of assertaining was to wield the phone angrily and use vulgar words... needless to say boost CS only seemed to have understand the gutterals verses the actual english. They admitted that all the systems had become a sudden debacle when Messaging and Web services began to fail in SD CA. They promptly told me They already knew there was a problem and were already working on it. I'm still trying to understand what exactly a Kitted Transmitter is... I didn't buy the parts at Radioshack and assemble it at home, so my confusion is limitless at this point. Well again thank you for your time.

Are you trying to download a game or app from BoostApps? The way you do it is:
1) Visit boostapps.com with your phone's browser.
2) Find a game or app you want.
3) Click the "JAD" link below the app's description. The phone will download and install the app
That should work if it doesn't, reply with the name of the game or app you are trying to get, which step fails and what the error message is.
I don't have an Innuendo but other BoostApps users claim Myxer works with it.

What make and model phone are you using and who's your mobile carrier (Boost, Sprint, Nextel or something else)?
I currently have downloaded as 5 apps from this site... the problem begins today.. 2 days ago I was downloading apps correctly... but answering to you questions. my phone is a Motorola i296 and the provider is boost mobile
I've reproduced the problem. The Sprint provisioning server is down right now. This happens occasionally. Based on past experience it probably won't be back up until tomorrow morning. Thanks for letting me know.

That's strange, because it still works completely fine on my i465g. I have Bloxed Mania (by Tracebit Ltd) v1.00.90 and I'm able to launch, play the game, exit, relaunch, etc. normally. Was just hoping to send it to my Dad's Clutch :/

Hello Dennis. I'm new to boostapps.com, I found a few apps you probably already knew about but are worth mention to you comments section.
The first is JADmaker - v1.21, I'm currently testing JARs with JAD files manufactured by this app on my Motorola I856 and have no failures yet. URL at the end of comments.
The next is MeBoyBuilder 2.2, Gameboy emulator app builder. You need to download a GBC/GB Rom and using this app it combines the Rom with the app and creates a GameBoy App in JAR format with a JAD file to boot. (It's better explain by the site owner than me, I'm sure.) The manufactured GameBoy apps work great on the I856 but completely lack sound, fine by me considering most of my environments require silence. MeBoyBuilder 2.2 is written in java and hasn't been compiled into an Executable format so you'll need a java emulator.
Then there's Hitonic Jar Starter V1.0.9. This is the Java Emulator I had in mind. Works great on running most Jar kits. Very simple to use.
Well this concludes the apps i found for this comment. As for the Gameboy Emulator I don't condone the piracy of Nintendo copyrighted games however there are a few freeware roms out there. It's well worth looking at. Now... THE URLS:

Thanks for the recommendations. I knew about the MeBoy Builder which I wrote about here http://boostapps.com/games/dragon-warrior/ and JadMaker (mentioned in http://boostapps.com/tutorials/how-to-load/ ) although you linked to a newer version.
The old JADMaker 1.10 created JADs that worked on Boost iDEN phones but not always with the CDMA ones. It word-wrapped lines in the JAD that were more then 60 characters which the CDMA phones can't handle. I'll have to see if that's fixed in the newest version.
Jad Starter is new to me but sounds useful.
Why can recent upgrades in Browsers here be made to fit Low Memory cellphones like mine and can someone please investigate the malfunction in the browser UCWEB 6.7- PLEASE!
Supporting low memory phones is up to the browser vendors. There's no way to make a released app use less memory. Opera mini 4.3 and 3.1 tend to be the best browsers on older, lower memory phones.
UCWEB 6.7 is a couple of years old and was never released as an English version, only Chinese. The copy here is an un-official translation. UC is up to 7.7 now it's unlikely that 6.7 will ever be fixed as the developers have moved on.

there is a New nimbuzz update which is 1.9.2
1.9.2 doesn't work on my i776. Fails with a Java Verification Error which is not something I can fix. I tried the i850 and i465 versions.

I still have my i856w but was given a Tmobile BB Bold as a gift so I use that now instead.
