Spytooth

SpytoothSpytooth is another Bluetooth “spy” app.  Other than a cool radar scan animation while it’s searching for devices it’s fairly basic.  All it does it find Bluetooth devices in range and show you each device’s name and unique Bluetooth ID.

If you register for free at www.spytooth.com/unlock.php you can save  found devices as “friends” and Spytooth will alert you with a beep or vibration when one of your friend devices comes into range.

Registration requires entering a unique code  that Spytooth displays when you run it, plus an email address that the unlock code is sent to.  You also need to enter a captcha code which is difficult to do without a PC,

Unlike some of the other Bluetooth apps posted here, Spytooth doesn’t let you send messages to other phones, make phone calls, turn the other phone off or view additional information about it such as the phone number, firmware version, battery level, signal strength, network ID and SIM ID.
