Interest Based Advertising
Google AdSense is used on BoostApps.com.  Adsense serves ads based on the content of the sites you view.  As you browse websites that have partnered with Google or Google sites, such as YouTube, Google may place a cookie in your browser to track the types of pages visited or content that you viewed. Based on this information, Google associates your browser with relevant interest categories and uses these categories to show interest-based ads. For example, if you frequently visit travel websites, Google may show more ads related to travel.  Google will not associate sensitive interest categories with your browser (such as those based on race, religion, sexual orientation, health, or sensitive financial categories), and will not use such categories when showing you interest-based ads.

How do I opt out of interest-based advertising?
If you prefer not to receive interest-based advertising, you can click the “Opt out” button at the top of this page, or click on the “Opt out” button on the Google Ads Preferences Manager Page. Google also offers a number of options to permanently save your opt-out settings in your browser. After you opt out, Google will not collect interest category information and you will not receive interest-based ads.

  1. dennis I finally got the i1! it is so different the tje other iden phones except the data speed. opera 5 runs laggy when not connected to wifi. and it is very open to downloads. I felt bad after buying it it was more then my i9. but it was worth it it is by far the best iden phone for boost mobile

  2. dennis is sprint really going to shut off iden? if they do which will be a huge mistake is it going to affect the boost subscribers? i read about it on the sprint forums but its just too heard to believe.

    • It must have been a old thread that someone resurrected. At one time Sprint planned to shut down iDEN but they changed their plans and are now committed to it indefinitely and are putting a lot of money into it.

    • it was about why the i1 isnt on nextel yet. it also said that NIT holdings in centrel america brought iden to 3G speed using HASP+ the same that tmobile and at&t uses and that sprint doesnt want to upgrade iden with it case sprint doesnt want to b bothered

  3. hay yall, just lettin u know the Email+IM from boost is working on my i776.Its laggy but it works. data space"559k, p.space-1055k & it has yahoo, aol, windows live,gmail&imap/pop3mail.just wanted yall 2 know. later

  4. dennis i need help! can you download music on the i1? or should i just drop iden for cdma or gsm? i really want the i1 but i dont want to waste 350+ again on a lockdown phone

    • The i1 is pretty open. You should be able download music, copy it from your PC to the phone and use any MP3 as a ringtone no conversion required.

    • thanks a mill dennis!

  5. hey would any 1 knw how i would get my yahoo aim and msn messenger bk on apps that came on my i290 please. and im having trouble with all the ones on here that r cant conect never geting codes sent 2 sms that stupid thg dont work i thk. please ty

    • hey i need help please on my this post please ty

    • Barbara, why are you posting this on the "About" thread? I don't think most users ever go there. You'd be more likely to get help from other users if you left clearly written comments describing your issues with these programs on each program's page. i.e. on the Papaya page, leave a comment explaining your problems with Papaya and asking if anyone has had a similar problem. Same with Nimbuzz, Mig33, etc.

Also have you tried these programs own forums or help emails as I suggested several days ago? Issues with verification SMS not received, can only be solved by the app's own support team not by me or other users.

  6. hi dennis hey whats the best social networking app 4 my i290 have trouble with the activation code on some stil waiting ben like 2 wks lol and a few of them just wont conect pulling my hair out i like yahoo aol please can u help me thanks hun hagd

    • You mean IM? I hardly ever IM so I'm not the best one to ask. For Yahoo and AOL in a single app you have a choice of:
      Nimbuzz
      eBuddy
      Migg33
      Papaya
      WeBuzz
Why not try them all and see which one YOU like best.

If you don't get an activation code for an app within an hour or two try requesting it again or asking for help from the apps support email or forum.

  7. Hey Dennis, there's a new version of the Zelda game out.
It's Zelda Beta 4 Final Release. I'm sure people would like to be able to download, this very improved version. So that you can post it here, I uploaded it to: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BSA8L6Q8
    Enjoy! :)
    Thanx

    • Oh, yeah... it's a HUGE app. 770kB!!! I have a i465, and can verify that it DOES WORK on my phone. :)

    • Thanks, any special reason why I should download it from that Megaupload link instead of the author's site: http://zeldamobile.gorthwogh.net/Downloads.php ? Downloading now, will post if it works.

    • No special reason at all. I posted it there to make it easy on you. I already Zip'ed the Jar and Jad file, to make upload easy to the iDEN uploader. Personally, I don't rally care for this game, but my wife ( who also has a i465 ), loves this game and has buggin me for the update. We have both tested it and it works :)
On separate note, Dennis thank so much, again, for this wonderful site!

  8. I just want some ringtones that don't cost me an arm and a leg. I have the i465 and I've tried a couple different "free ringtone" sites that say they're compatible. Then I get the text and when I try to follow it, it says it's not supported or tells me to go get web service. I have web service. This sucks, please help!

    • iDEN phones can't download ringtones (except from boostmobile.com) or install them from a text. You can however send them to your phone with bluetooth. See: http://boostapps.com/tutorials/ringtones/

  9. hi Dennis, how about detectoplasm from getjar.com? ty :)

    • I tried it but it doesn't work.

  10. I have tried to download several different apps and nothing gets sent to my i465 clutch. what's the problem?

    • If the apps you send aren't showing up in download handsets here are are few things to check
      - "Send to Phone" only works with Motorola iDen phones with model numbers starting with the letter i followed by 2 or 3 numbers, like i776.
      - "Send to Phone" only works with phones on the Boost Mobile or Nextel US networks.
      - It takes up to 3 days before downloading works for new Boost or Nextel subscribers.
      - BoostApps does not send a text message to your phone to let you know that you have a new download, you have to go into Menu > Java Apps > New Purchases to find your downloads
      - When you enter your phone number enter exactly 10 digits starting with the area code. Do not enter a leading 1. Do not enter any spaces or dashes, just the numbers.

    • Thanks for the info. Rechecked my apps today and they were there.

  11. i have a juno will the apps work on my phone

    • Some of the apps of BoostApps may work on the Boost CDMA phones like the Juno. However you will have better luck and a much wider selection at http://m.getjar.com

  12. Ebuddy social networking on Getjar.com.

  13. Morrix Cube on Getjar. It's like Rubik's Cube.

  14. The new Bolt I installed keeps telling me that I need to update my flash player. Is anyone else having this problem?

  15. I have an i335. It will not download over the air so i got the usb wire. what next?u

  16. do i need a computer with internet 2 put life in pocket on ur phone?
Off topic - moved here: http://boostapps.com/apps/lifeinpocket-turn-by-turn-navigation/

    • Please don't post off topic. Questions abut Life In Pocket belong on the Life In Pocket thread where people searching for help on it will be looking not on the "About" or "Requests" post.

  17. I hope to beable to download free game

    • You're in the right place. If you have questions just ask.

  18. hi dennis. after reading a news article about cell phones & virus threats i became concerned. so i ask u is the iden network safe from such threats? do i need anti-virus software for my i465 (clutch)? thank u.

    • There are no know viruses that effect basic cellphones like the ones Boost uses. There is no need for anti-virus software on these phones.

  19. when i tried to install Papaya, it went great until it said it was gonna send me an SMS...... never got one. tried again, days later still nothing. does boost support SMS??

    • A lot of people have trouble with the Papaya SMS. I had to request it twice myself. I'd keep trying. Boost supports SMS, I think the problem is on Papaya's end.
