iRadio
Here’s something people have been requesting forever here on BoostApps, a streaming Internet Radio app that actually works on Boost iDEN and Nextel phones. I’ve tried over a dozen radio apps and never managed to find one that worked on my i776.
The wait is over thanks to BoostApps reader Lise, who found iRadio on GetJar and got it working on her i856. Lise was kind enough to share her find with us.
iRadio has a directory over offer 500 stations which you can browse or search for a particular type of music like hip hop or classical.
According to Lise, on the i856 it takes several minutes to load the list of stations and a couple more to begin playing the selected station, but it does actually work and the sound is good.
I never managed to get iRadio to play anything on my i776. The program did install and run. But it took nine minutes to load the station list. After I picked a station I waited another 40 minutes but it never started playing. The i856 and i9 have a much faster processor and twice as much memory as the other iDEN phones. I suspect that iRadio will only work on the i9 and i856

Help me get music on my phone
What phone is that?
I have the sanyo juno with boostmobile and this app would not work on my phone. Just wanted to let anyone else with this phone aware. no questions here! 🙂
Maybe this would help a lot of Samsung Seek users. Iradio doesn’t work to well on the Seek. But being that the Seek has an MP3 player, you can download music without a USB cable. You need the Opera Mini 5.1 or the Bolt Browser 2.5. You can download them directly from their mobile sites. Please send me a message if you want any more info.
are there any websites that i can download free music onto the seek
,i do have iradio and it works, i just cant figure out the stations.
I don’t have a seek but if you use Opera Mini or the Bolt browser you should be able to download .mp3s from any free music site that has them and save them on the memory card.
Amazon.com has hundreds of free legal music downloads at: http://www.amazon.com/Free-Songs-Music/b?ie=UTF8&node=334897011 and the downloads work in Opera Min on my i1.
you said that i can download music from my phone. how? i downloaded the bolt browser. what do i do from there
I don’t have the Seek, but this works on other phones and should work with the Seek.
1. Use Bolt to go to your favorite MP3 download site. http://mobile.artistserver.com is an easy to use one with lots of free legal music.
2. Find a track you want to download, click the MP3 link
3. Choose Save, then choose “Memory Card” or “E”, then choose the “Music” folder
4. Click where it says “Save in folder…” at the top of the screen. Wait for the download to finish
5. Go to the Media Player and enjoy your music
Well, I was able to get a little farther with this iradio code, with a problem. I located Dr. Hu at CNet. Got an email for another application. He finally emailed me back. He said to go to the site(www.wimolife.com). Then click on (I need the activation code)He has relocated everything there looks like. I not computer saavy , but there lots of options for diff. things. the two that looked liked they applied to iradio were: streaming radio, or maybe J2me activation code, and j2me source code sell. I assume its one of the first 2 but when I click on streaming radio or j2me activation code, it gives me this fatal error everytime.
FATAL ERROR: Cannot break/continue1 level in/home/and hat/wimolife.com/graphcount.php on line 39. Needless to say, this is way over my head! But its a start. i have a new window 7 toshiba laptop, so i’m assuming its not my computer. Post back if you figure this one out. Dr hu takes about a week or so to email you back and is a man of few words. LOL Thanks, Tony
When I go to the site (www.drhu.org), it just says no connection and wont go to the site. Is there another site to possible try and access the IRadio code for the I9 phone. Could anyone with an I9 or I856 that was able to get the IRadio code to work possible help with this information? I know you have to pay for this app, but I cant even get the site to come up.
