MagicBlueHack
There seems to be a lot of interest in this app among BoostApps readers. According to it’s author, MagicBlueHack let’s you:
“Control /Access another Bluetooth mobile such as make Call(Free), Send SMS(free), Read Phone Book from another Mobile without notifying him (Traffic charge can be apply for hacked mobile) by Using Mobile Bluetooth Technology.”
Making “free” calls and sending “free” SMS by leaching off off someone else’s service without notifying would be unethical and illegal. Fortunately for all of us MagicBlueHack doesn’t actually let you do that.
When you start MagicBlueHack it scans for Bluetooth devices within range. You pick the one you want to connect to and then press the Menu key and choose “Connect”. On the i776 the selected device name isn’t highlighted so you have to guess which one you are connecting to. I kept connecting to my PC by accident instead of the phone I was trying to connect to. After several tries I managed to connect MagicBlueHack on my i776 with a Nokia N95
The other user is prompted if they want to allow “Motorola Phone” to connect. If they accept the two devices must be “paired” by entering the same PIN on both devices. So you can really only “hack” someone’s phone if they allow it and share the PIN they entered with you.
Once connected I tried to use MagicBlueHack with the following results:
- Make phone call: The “hacked” N95 displayed “Calling” plus the number I was calling on its screen. The call connected and the called party could hear me but I couldn’t hear him.
- Send SMS: Worked OK although MagicBlueHack added the garbage text “AT+CPBR=796 AT+CPBR=797 AT+CPBR=798” to the beginning of each message
- Read Phone Book: This function doesn’t seem to work. MagicBlueHack reported that it was reading the N95’s phone book but didn’t display anything.
What I think: MagicBlueHack is an interesting technical demonstration of what can be done with Bluetooth but is ultimately pretty useless. The good news is that if you use common sense and don’t accept Bluetooth connections from unknown devices and share Bluetooth PINs with strangers you will never be “hacked” by this software.

this application works on my phone nokia E71. But the problem is, i forgot to switch off my antivirus..then when im running this application, the virus automatically delete the magicbluehack jar. But the icon still there, so my question is how to remove the icon? I’ll try to remove it, but it’s not responding. 🙁
Re-install the .jar file, find out where it’s located on your PC ( i.e. C drive->users->….) and then delete it from there. That “should” get rid of it for you. If not, post back.
That sounds like a buggy anti virus program!
Maybe reinstall the app and then delete it using the Application Manager.
If that doesn’t work , I suggest you contact the vendor of your anti virus.
so I juss’ downloaded this app &’d it doesn’t work . =\ I need an app that’s gonna let me use my bluetooth. grrrrrrr
Which phone do you have and what about it doesn’t work?
Yep, it doesn’t work on our i465’s. It will recognize my PC, but then there’s no way to connect the two devices…….I’m still looking for a way to Bluetooth from my i465 to my PC reliably, ( I can’t figure out the Password issue between the two) and thought this might have worked and solved my issue completely about sending ringtones from the PC to my phone……..(sigh)
Super Bluetooth Hack is for connecting to phones it’s not going to do anything with a PC.
Here’s how I send ringtones and wallpapers to my phone. Depending on the make and model of your PC and Bluetooth adapter the steps on the PC side might be a little different:
# Pair your phone and computer: Start Bluetooth on the phone: Menu > Bluetooth > Link to Devices. Click the name of your computer in the list and enter anu four digits as a passkey when prompted and then press OK. Enter the same passkey in the dialog that pop ups on your computer.
# If your phone takes a memory card, you must have a card in the phone to be able to send files to it.
# Send the file to the phone: In Windows Explorer, right click the file you want to send and choose “Send To > Bluetooth > Motorola Phone” (If “Motorola Phone” isn’t listed, click “Other…” and Windows should find it and allow you to select it.
# Save the file on the phone: You should see an “Incoming Transfer” dialog on the phone. Choose “Accept” and the fill will be downloaded. Click “Store”.
# Assign the file as a ringtone: Now Go into Menu > Ringtones. Your new tone should be listed. Assign it to “Phone Line 1” and you are done. You can also assign the ringtone to a specific profile or contact.
# To use an image as a wallpaper, press “Menu”, choose “Settings”, then “Display/Info”, “Wallpaper”, “Wallpaper” again and pick the new image from the list.
An alternate way to link phone and computer is:
* On the phone, open the Menu, choose Bluetooth and then “Find Me”
* On the computer, open Windows Explorer and browse to the folder where you saved the file you want to send.
* Right-click the file in Windows Explorer and choose “Send To” then “Bluetooth” then “Other”, then “Motorola Phone”, then “OK”.
* If the phone prompts for a code, enter four digits, then enter the same four digits on the PC when prompted.
* On the phone choose “Accept” and then “Store”
Your software is very remarkable and I need it downloaded to aid me.
If you have a Boost iDEN or Nextel phone click the “Send to Phones” button.
For all other phones, visit http://boostapps.com with your phone’s browser and click the jad link. If that doesn’t work click the jar link.
