Instamapper GPS Tracker
This app no longer works. The Instamapper service was shut down December 13th, 2012
Several people have requested an app that can track your phone on a map. Boostapps reader Clark recommended Instamapper which works perfectly. It runs in the background on the phone and you can view where the phone is and where it’s been on a Google Map by visiting instamapper.com (free registration required) with a PC browser, Bolt or Opera Mini. (Bolt seems to do a better job with the Instamapper site than Opera.)
The version posted here was designed specifically for iDEN phones and gets a GPS fix very quickly (under 30 seconds outdoors) on my i776.
Type: Freeware
Vendor: Instamapper
Data Connection Required: Yes
Supported Boost iDEN phones: All Falcon Series with Java (i290, i335, i465, i776, i856, i9, etc)
Supported Boost CDMA phones: None
File Size: 18 KB
Downloading uses paid data. Downloads are for Java ME phones only.

Hi
instamapper is now back
http://www.insta-mapper.com
Could you update your URL as its now changed
How can you locate someone else even though they did not ask you to share
You can’t locate someone without their permission with this or any other app and that’s a good thing. How would you like it if any creep could stalk you?
dennis,is there a app similar to this 1? you helped me a great deal with this app on my clutch, now we have kyocera hydros.please help
Google Latitude is built into Google Maps on Android. Launch Maps, tap the layers icon, tap lattitude and enable location sharing with the people who you wamt to be able to track your phone.
dennis do i have my settings wrong? my phone shows exact location but my wifes is 8 blocks off and she is sitting right next to me. and thank you for all the help,im lost without your help
It sounds like your wife’s phone hasn’t locked on to a GPS fix and is using coarse location based on the nearest cell tower. If it’s an Android phone check that Settings > Location & security > Use GPS satellites is checked. If it is checked see if the phone will give an accurate location after sitting stationary outdoors for a few minutes.
Thanks again,you always come through
You can try http://www.gps-server.net, they support lots of mobile phones and GPS trackers.
That service is not free and it only supports iPhone, Android and BlackBerry phones, not mobile Java.
