Instamapper GPS Tracker
This app no longer works. The Instamapper service was shut down December 13th, 2012
Several people have requested an app that can track your phone on a map. Boostapps reader Clark recommended Instamapper which works perfectly. It runs in the background on the phone and you can view where the phone is and where it’s been on a Google Map by visiting instamapper.com (free registration required) with a PC browser, Bolt or Opera Mini. (Bolt seems to do a better job with the Instamapper site than Opera.)
The version posted here was designed specifically for iDEN phones and gets a GPS fix very quickly (under 30 seconds outdoors) on my i776.

i have a i930 nextel i load the app but when i try to open it said error on application what do i have to do to fixed
The i930 is a Windows Mobile phone which does not have built in support for Java apps like the ones on on this site. It’s possible to install Java on most Windows phones. See http://www.smartphonemag.com/cms/blogs/3/2266 for more information on adding Java. Even with Java I doubt that Instapper would work on the i930 as it was designed specifically for the iDEN Motorola’s
They are working on a Windows Mobile Port to Instatracker. Right now all that is supported is Blackberry, iPhone, Android and iDEN phones.
i love this app so much it works flawlessly on both my husband and I’s I335 and has a cool plug-in for face book too!!
Love this app. it’s another sweet way for your friends/family to find you if you ever get stuck on the highway. just run this and sit there and wait. it’s pretty neat actually I’ve used this in conjunction with geocaching on several occasions
Put in where? When you add a device it only asks for a label not what kind of device it is.
Have not tried this yet but… FYI Mgmaps released here at boostapps actually has an easy to setup web-tracking feature..
