Opera Mini Next
This is a Beta of Opera Mini 7.0 which Opera is calling “Opera Mini Next”.
New features in Opera Mini Next:
- Support for more than 9 speed dials – you can add as many as you like, or as many as your device can handle.
- Improved support for Right To Left languages
- Tab improvements – Tabs are now closed with one click on touch screen devices. And when you close a tab, Opera Mini will switch to the one you used last.
- No more “www.” in address bar. The auto completion still supports it, though.
- Text wrap toggle added
- New tabbed Start Page with Speed Dial and Smart Page tabs. The smart page displays:
- My Sites – Auto generated links to your three most visited sites. Swipe left to see six more.
- Social Networks – Displays the two most recent items from your Facebook News Feed and Twitter timeline. Swipe left to see more entries (up to six each from Facebook and Twitter).
- My News – Three headlines from RSS feeds. Swipe left to see three more headlines.
- Suggested Links – About 25 non-removable links to mainstream sites. The links are divided into categories like News, Finance, Sports and Social Networks
Known issues :
- Speed dials may move around unexpectedly and the order can be inconsistent.
In my own testing, mOpera Mini Next performed about as well as Opera Mini 6.5 on the Motorola Rambler. There wa squite a bit of lag until I turned off Opera Link and the Smart Page Feature (Settings > Advanced > Home Page = Off). On the Motorola i776, Opera Mini Next installed but hung on startup.

does anyone know why on my motorola theory every app from this site asks me for permission to download? it says its untrusted?? can anyone help me plz….on all the opera mini apps ive tried will not let me download pictures and they all say they are untrusted
The remove the “Untrusted” message apps must be digitally signed by Sprint. Sprint only signs apps sold through the Boost or Sprint online store. The apps on this site are tested and safe but it’s not possible for me to sign them with a Sprint certificate.
You can’t download with Opera Mini because Boost phones don’t allow untrusted apps to write to the internal file system. If your phone supported using a memory card you would be able to download to the card.
That exactly whats happening to me…i need help it gets really annoying
What is it that keeps happening?
ATTENTION KRAZYKEV: I notice in your comment here that you own a Sanyo Innuendo. I also have a Sanyo Innuendo its the SCP-6780 model for Boost. However I am not to knowledgable about my phone & have a few question I want to ask you.
1) when you got your phone was your browser the Access Netfront 3.5.1? Currently this is what I have.
2) if you downloaded this Opera Mini as your browser do you now have 2 browsers on your phone? or just this Opera Mini?
3) has your phone gotten faster or better internet services because of this new browser you downloaded? Such as can you get onto Google chrome or other upgraded internet services? Currently I think I can only access the very basic version of Google on my phone.
I really am having problems with very slow downloads on any site I go to so any info that you can provide me about mobile browsers or anything else will be very helpful & greatly appreciated. Thanks
It sounds like you used the fullscreen option in the settings menu. I did the same thing with my Innuendo, and had to remove it and redownload it all over again.
Btw, I noticed that Opera Mini 7.2 was just released for the iPhone and iPad. So hopefully Opera Mini Next will be upgraded to a final product soon.
I have a sanyo innuendo and i like the app but it seems that when i enter text, my phone shuts off and i have to turn it back on. Sometimes it accepts but i never know when or why it does it.any ideas?. I used the standard download option.
