Pico Mail 2.1
PicoMail has been upgraded to version 2.1. There are no obvious changes so I can’t say what’s new in this version athough I suspect that there are some performance and stability enhancements.
PicoMail is a fast, free (ad-supported) POP, SMTP, IMAP email program for Java phones that works with most email providers. It features simple account configuration. For major email services including Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo Mail you just need to enter your email address and password and PicoMail takes care of all the complicated POP or IMAP settings.
PicoMail provides unlimited email accounts, viewing of Word, Excel, PDF, WordPerfect, video and image attachments, HTML email (reformatted as a single column) , images, including PNG, GIF, JPEG, BMP and TIFF formats, security via SSL, keyword search and automatic spam filtering.

Thanks… I downloaded 2.2 still had to configure. Had to type: smtp.mail.yahoo.com, then after research, found out the port is 25. It now works great. Able to send&rcv.
Is your’s an @boostapps.comyahoo.com account. It should work with those. If you have an ISP branded (AT&T DSL, etc) account I could understand Pico Mail having trouble recognizing that it was a Yahoo account.
Anyway, glad you got it to work.
Hi… Need help downloaded newer version. Looks great on my incognito. But i am not sure how to figure out the smtp port for my yahoo account. Can you help? I am unable to send because of this error.
Latest PicoMail is 2.2. Download here: http://boostapps.com/apps/pico-mail-2-2/ If you just enter your yahoo email address Pico mail should configure the server settings automatically.
Hi,
Is there a way to change the dark blue text colored links and captions to another color within Picomail???
Its very difficult to read considering the background is dark too! The rest of the text I can read as its a brighter color…
AFAIK, there’s no way to change the link color in Pico Mail. Changing the phone Profile’s theme might help though.
Dennis has the correct response — only way to change the colors used by PicoMail is to change the theme in use by the phone.
