PicoMail 2.0
BoostApps user Sophie Louise tipped me that PicoMail has been updated to version 2.0. Thanks Sophie.
Pico Wireless has not published a change list for this version which is surprising for a major version release. I’m not a PicoMail user so I’m probably missing something but the only change I noticed is a new option to enable touchscreen support (not tested as I don’t have a Boost touchscreen Java phone).
PicoMail is a fast, free (ad-supported) POP, SMTP, IMAP email program for Java phones that works with most email providers including free Gmail, Hotmail and Yahoo Mail accounts. It features simple account configuration, unlimited email accounts, viewing of Word, Excel, PDF, WordPerfect, video and image attachments, viewing and sending HTML and plain text email messages, images, including PNG, GIF, JPEG, BMP and TIFF formats, security via SSL, keyword search and automatic spam filtering.

Hi, just downloaded 2.0 version : with bb pearl 8100, font size stay at “medium”, even if “Ok” pressed after change. Known bug/solution ?
Changing fonts works on my Rambler so it’s probably a BlackBerry specific issue. You should contact Picomail at [email protected] and let them know about the problem.
Is there anything that will work on my sanyo innueno. To help me upload my pictures to facebook. Help tried everywhere….
Opera Mini works for uploading to Facebook on the Incognito so it probably will on the Innuendo.
The change list from PicoMail 1.9 -> PicoMail 2.0 is as follows:
– Save opened messages and web pages for offline viewing
– Send attachments, local files, images from web pages and email messages over SMS
– SMS integration into contact list, camera
– Form auto fill with opt- in personal information
– Import contacts from phone contact list
– Saving of form elements
– Touch- screen enhancements (Settings -> Enable touchscreen interface)
– Search text
– Configurable display text size (Small, Medium, Large)
– Refresh active message list
– Reload message text, web page
– Enhanced file explorer
– Improved user interface
– Improved content layout
– Improved HTML support
– Numerous bug fixes
Love this app! Been using it since the version for Yahoo came out.:)
Well , there is not that many new features that will work on my i465 except for the import contacts from my phones contact list . Sending sms messages or phone calls are pretty much blocked by Motorola’s java security features , but emails work just fine .
