Iyrss is having the same problem. I’m afraid I don’t know what causes it. It’s probably a network issue or one with your phone. Like I told Iyrss, You can try (listed in order of difficulty):
1. Switch towers. The nearest cell tower may have an issue with data. Go to a different location, at least a few miles away and see if it works
2) Reset the Java Sysyem: In Java Apps, scroll down to “Java System”., press the Menu key and choose “Reset System”. Retry Download Apps. If it’s still not working try a radio reset.
3) Reset the radio: Starting at the phone’s home screen. press the Menu key and click on “Settings”, then “Advanced”, then “Connectivity”, then “Master Reset”.
At the prompt: “Enter Security” enter six zeros and press the left softkey labeled “OK”. On the next screen press the left softkey labeled “Yes”.
At the prompt: “Caution: See Manual” press the center “OK” key. The phone will shut down. Turn it back on again, start the browser and press “OK” when prompted to update browser info. Close the browser and try Download Apps again.
a) Contact Boost. Send one of the free apps like Email+IM to your phone from http://boostmobile.com If Download Apps hangs trying to get it call Boost. Tell them about the problem you are having with Email+IM. Don’t mention BoostApps as it’s not supported and that will give them an excuse not to help you. They have some way to reseting your data configuration. You may have to call several times to get someone to help you.
4) Reflash the phone firmware by downloading the lastest phone software from http://servicemyphone.motorola.com/iden/support/software/html/firmware_utility.html You will need a data cable and a PC running Windows XP to do this
hey does anyone know why when i go to new purcheses it wont download any apps i called boost there no help
What happens when you try? I need symptons and error messages to be able to diagnose it.
