Slifter

Slifter

Slifter is a shopping app that helps you find the best prices for products in local stores and online. It is a zipcode based search rather than one using GPS. It remembers your zipcode so you only have to enter it once.  You enter a product name, model number or UPC code and Slifter finds the closes stores and thoese having the best prices.  Listings include a product photo, description, store address, map and a click to call phone number.

While Slifter is useful, a couple of features did not work on my i776.  I was unable to register, the registration button didn’t seem to do anything.  Probably because I was unregistered the feature to save items to my personal shopping list did not work and I was also unable to use the send items to friends  by SMS feature.  The center dPad “OK” button doesn’t work either, you have to use the green “Call” button instead.

  1. I have the i465 clutch… this app installs just fine but the only time the call button works 4 me is when i skip to register because it wouldn’t let me… ;-p

  2. Capone, Does Slifter not install? Maybe your Flash memory is full. Try installing again by clicking the Slifter icon in the Java Menu. If the install fails in “Allocating Flash” or “Writing Flash” it means you are out of space and need to delete some other apps.

I’ve looked a a half a dozen bar code readers and so far none work. Still looking though.

  3. doesnt work for i856 hey find a barcode scanner if possible

  4. Awesome idea for this time of year, and just bout any time. How often does somebody say ‘wonder how much those/that is’ and nobody near there has an iPhone? Now your the goto person! 🙂

  5. I have the i856 and I had the same problem with not being able to register and the buttons not working…seems like a cool app though…are there any others like it?
