Facebook 2.8.1
A new version 2.81 of the official Facebook app has been released. New features include support for pages including liking and commenting on pages and new sepia and black and white photo filters
This version doesn’t work on my Motorola Rambler and i776 phones. It installs and runs but the log in button doesn’t work. The previous 2.3 and 2.5.1 versions didn’t work on my phones but they did on the Incognito, Juno, Factor, Rant and Seek, so I suspect this one works on them too.
Type: Freeware
Vendor: Facebook
Data Connection Required: Yes
Minimum Java ME profile: MIDP 2.0
Screen Size: All
Boost CDMA Compatible: Yes works on Juno, probably works on the Incognito, Rant and Seek.
iDEN Compatible: (tested on i776): No, runs but key mapping issues make it unusable
Reported working on: Sanyo Juno
Reported NOT working on: LG A290, Motorola Rambler, Motorola i776, Sanyo Innuendo
Please let us know in a comment if it works or not on your Boost phone

There are download links for every app. Links to download the .jad and .jar are on the mobile formatted site and the desktop version of the site has links to download the .jad and the .jar or a .zip containing both the jar and jad.
But if your phone doesn’t support apps what good does it do to download them?

What is the difference between jar and jad files
The jad (Java Archive Descriptor) is a text file that the ohne reads to help determine if the app is compatible. If the app is signed the jad contains the signature.
The jar (Java ARchive) is the actual binary app.
Normally you install an app using the jad although some phones can install jars directly without needing the jad
