Chinese Puzzle
Although the author calls this game “Chinese Checkers Puzzle” it’s actually Peg Solitare, sometimes called Chinese Solitaire. The game is quite challenging, works well and adapts to all screen sizes. The only flaw is that the in-game help displays as a bunch of squares rather than text, I suspect it’s in Russian. That’s not much of a problem as the rules of Peg Solitare are simple.
Pegs can only move horizontally or vertically and each move must jump over another peg. The peg that was jumped over is removed.
The object of the game is to remove all the pegs or marbles from the board except one.
Keys: Arrows move cursor or peg; Call key selects a peg to move.

I did notice that to move from one side of the board to the other, you have to move linearally – you cannot move from the topmost position to the bottom position through one move as is the case with some other board game movement.
You have to move the position indicator six times to go
from one end of the board to the other. The programmer could
have easily included this action move to aid the player, but having to stay within the confines of the board for movement keeps the player’s mind inside the borders !
Well-designed and color coded graphic. The color scheme is very easy on the eyes
and programmed intelligently to convey position moves and action. Although the
“help” is in Russian, the key commands and moves are easy to figure out, although
it does take some thinking of how other games work to figure out how to move
pieces. Fortuanately, the programmer has designed this game in a simple manner,
so the user learns that all that is needed is to move to the desired piece, select it,
move it, and the rest is taken care of by the program. There is an undo option but no
save option or “score save” neither of which is greatly needed. The file size is very
small, most of which might be generated by the beautiful and highly colorful opening
visual of multiple colorful balls expanding throughout the screen – worth downloading
if for nothing else just to view that animated visual !!
