Hello Dennis,
Thank you so much for your prompt reply. I really appreciate your help and did try your suggestions as follows: (Thanks for explaining how to do everything, your instructions were great)
1) I did the reset the Java Sysyem and tried to download an app, still have the same problem with the phone receiving forever, and never receiving anything
2) I did reset the radio, but was never prompted to “update” the browser the browser opened and seemed to work just fine, so I closed the browser and tried Download Apps again. same problem receive went on forever and I never did receive anything
3) I did try to send Email+IM to my phone from http://boostmobile.com It told me it had linked the app to my phone # and then same thing happened with the phone receiving forever, and never receiving anything
4) I did not do the Reflash the phone firmware by downloading the lastest phone software from http://servicemyphone.motorola.com/iden/support/software/html/firmware_utility.html as I do not have nor do I really want to buy a data cable
Dennis, I did call Boost customer service and spoke with a guy there that was really not very helpful, and did not seem to know how to fix what was wrong.
He told me that I was supposed to download all apps using only the phone through Java Apps. He said not to use my desktop computer and the internet via the Boostapp loader as that was not the way to do it. He said it would not work using my desktop computer, the internet, and boostapp loader eventhough I told him that I had previously used the boostapp loader on the internet via my desktop computer to send several apps to my phone, and it worked fine, I had received the apps no problem. At that point I was disconnected so I don’t know if he hung up or what.
So Dennis, I still have the same problem, and calling boost does not seem to be of any help.
Can you help me out from your end, I do not understand why I could download and receive before and now I cannot receive anything.
I am now receiving nothing, every time I try to download the phone says receiving data and I could let it run all day, all night and I never receive anything.
So I still need help please.
You knowledge and help is really appreciated.

I don’t really know what I can do. The Loader is working for me and many other people so I’m convinced that the issue is either with your phone or your Boost account.. I suggest calling Boost again, repeatedly if necessary. Ask for tech support. I recommend that only talk about the problem you are having Email+IM and not mention Boostapps as it’s not officially supported by Boost.
Hello, Great news that the send to phone is working again, but I am still have a lot of difficulty downloading as follows:
I am new to this and hope I am commenting in the right place.
I have the Motorolla i856 and
I have been trying for about a week now to down load the app called Sideralis
using the boostapps downloader using the link shown below (that I got from the your forum here on this website)
http://m.umnet.com/Download/software/10203/Sideralis-v1.3.8-b471.jar
After I click on send to phone (on my desktop computer) and then I go to my phone and and go to menu, phone apps, new purchases, and press okay.
then my phone shows a white screen that says Progress and receiving data,
In the white screen there is a yellow lock showing in the left top of the box and the box has a red triangle moving from a blue zizzag line to a picture of a cellphone.
This can run all day , but I do not ever receive anything
I am very frustrated and do not understand why I do not receive anything
Can anyone help me out and explain to me how to make this work?
Any assistance is really appreciated
I had one other report of the problem you describe where download apps’ “New Purchases” gets stuck trying to load the list of new items. I believe that it’s a phone or network problem rather than having anything to do with the Loader or Sideralis. Here are some things that I’d try (listed in order of difficulty):
1) Reset the Java Sysyem: In Java Apps, scroll down to “Java System”., press the Menu key and choose “Reset System”. Retry Download Apps. If it’s still not working try a radio reset.
2) Reset the radio: Starting at the phone’s home screen. press the Menu key and click on “Settings”, then “Advanced”, then “Connectivity”, then “Master Reset”.
At the prompt: “Enter Security” enter six zeros and press the left softkey labeled “OK”. On the next screen press the left softkey labeled “Yes”.
At the prompt: “Caution: See Manual” press the center “OK” key. The phone will shut down. Turn it back on again, start the browser and press “OK” when prompted to update browser info. Close the browser and try Download Apps again.
3) Contact Boost. Send one of the free apps like Email+IM to your phone from http://boostmobile.com If Download Apps hangs trying to get it call Boost. They have some way to reseting your data configuration.
4) Reflash the phone firmware by downloading the lastest phone software from http://servicemyphone.motorola.com/iden/support/software/html/firmware_utility.html You will need a data cable and a PC running Windows XP to do this
