Based on this information, Google associates your browser with relevant interest categories and uses these categories to show interest-based ads. For example, if you frequently visit travel websites, Google may show more ads related to travel.  Google will not associate sensitive interest categories with your browser (such as those based on race, religion, sexual orientation, health, or sensitive financial categories), and will not use such categories when showing you interest-based ads.

How do I opt out of interest-based advertising?
If you prefer not to receive interest-based advertising, you can click the “Opt out” button at the top of this page, or click on the “Opt out” button on the Google Ads Preferences Manager Page. Google also offers a number of options to permanently save your opt-out settings in your browser. After you opt out, Google will not collect interest category information and you will not receive interest-based ads.

  3. are the game apps free? they dont say ne prices yet it says to open the app in the purchased app part of ure menu.

    • Everything on BoostApps is free!

  4. i got a notice from motorla that there is a software update for my i465.can u put the update on boostapps? i have no computer to do it otherwise.

    • You need a computer and USB cable to perform the update which is packaged as a Windows executable. Putting the update on Boost Apps wouldn't help.

  5. sasha u sound just like me with my i465. heres how i got downloads from boostapps 2 work: when entering my # i found that if the txt settings for complete or next word were on i got errors w/both OFF enter #>OK>SEND to Phone-i select it using Call button

  6. and another question i've beent tryin to download free games to my phones also and when i try to download it it says that error 406 not acceptable....wat does that mean? Does it mean my phone doesnt support it? Or that the mobile website just won't allow my phone to upload it? please please help me cuz im startin to get frustrated and im ready to throw this phone out the window...lol

  7. i have the i856wdebut and it seems to be takin a long time to download the apps i sent on my phone. what does that mean? Can anyone help? And does anyone know a gud website to download mp3 ringtones? I've tried ventones, phonezoo, and mobango...please and thanks

    • The iDEN network is pretty slow, 19.2 kbs, so downloads do take a couple minutes on big apps. There no way around that.

  8. http://www.mmail.pl/ will this work with our phones?

    • It might but it doesn't support SSL which is required by almost all mail servers today. I don't have an account on any mail server which permits unencrypted connections so I couldn't test it. Plus it's a 30 day trial which cost $4 to activate. And to pay the $4 you have to either give your credit card info to something called dotPay that I've never heard of or else do a bank wire transfer which my bank (Citibank) charges a $15 fee for. No thanks!

  9. hello i cant seem to get the apps, everytime i add the apps with my number and go into java application and go to new purchase it just tells me that there are no new purchases to download, can somneone help me i have a motorola i335 for boost

    • Be sure to enter your phone number as 10 digits starting with the area code. No leading "1" and no dashes spaces or dots, just 10 numbers.
Also, if you have a new Boost account it can take up to 3 days before downloads work.

    • ohhh ok did the 10 digits but yea i got the phone sat and the new account as weel sat so that might be it lol thanks

    • ok its the 4th day and i still cant anything yet on my phone keeps saying no new purchase and the number is right.

    • Hang in there it should start working soon.

  10. Thank You Guys

  11. Try get jar some of those work

  12. I just found a few more things on getjar: Dynamo Kid 1 & 2 (full versions), Soul Power (mentioned in earlier post) and Blackjack (version loaded on 09/20/07). There was also a Social Networking IM client called Papaya that enables you to use AIM, Yahoo IM, MSN IM, Google Talk, and ICQ all at once, but you have to sign up, create an account and give your cell number for them to send an activation code and I know some ppl may not feel comfortable doing that.

  13. i got my 465 clutch when it came out & tried & TRIED to get Opera mini on cuz Openwave was horrible. i have been trying (to no avail) to save up $ to switch phone's & company. THANKS 2 U my $ can go 4 something else.
THANK U SO MUCH U R MY HERO OF THE 2010

  14. If I were to buy a sanyo incogneto, is there a way to send apps to that ? Posibly without fishing out 7 bucks for a cable?

    • The Incognito is essentially a Sprint CDMA phone. Direct downloading using the browser works with some sites. For the ones were it doesn't use Rumkin: http://rumkin.com/tools/sprint/ You can also send ringtones and wallpapers to your Boost CDMA phones using Rumkin.

  15. Here is a good one for somebody to think about. It seems that the i465, well the Motorola interface has no "Disable Automatic Update" for the time setting. My problem is that I live in Arizona right on the Colorado River and at my house the closet tower is about a mile away in California so my phone shows the time from the California tower which at this time of year is 1 hour earlier than the time in Arizona. When I go to work - a short distance away in Laughlin NV, which is the same time as California. I pick up a tower in Arizona. On every cell phone I have had this time of year, as Arizona doesn't observe daylight savings time, I would disable the "Automatic Update" so that no matter where I went here in the area I would have the correct time I use. Anybody have a suggestion or app that will correct this problem other than moving lol

  16. I love Mahjong! Thank you Dennis.

  17. I plan on buying a clutch, what instant messenger app works best on the i465 clutch

    • Nefansa works best but it's Yahoo IM only. MQIM and Nimbuzz (especially the Lite version) are best Multi protocol messengers. Visit http://boostapps.com/tag/im/ to see and download all the available messengers.

  18. The Incognito is new and I don't think anyone here has experience with it.

Downloading should work if you click the JAD link for apps here on BoostApps. Don't use "Send to Phone" that's only for iDEN phones and the Incognito is CDMA.

  19. ok..i need help downloaing things for the nex incognitio....im haveing a hell of a time trying..

  20. do you know how to add podcasts to the i856?

  21. I don't know how I finally found your web site, but I did and I send you xoxxo. Thank u so much, I could't do ANYTHING with this phone (i856), this is the 1st thing I've been allowed to send and I've had the phone for 2 months. If u need any help just ask

  22. OOPS, I meant that I have the new i856w.

  23. I have the new I856w and I have installed the following apps and they are working fine:
    Gmail
    Freecell
    Bolt Browser
    GeoTip
    Odysseus
    MicroCalc Spreadsheet
    Mobile GMaps
    English/Spanish Dictionary
    MiniNP

  24. I can't tell you whether to buy the used Nextel Curve or not. If you do you need to be into phone hacking and be willing to spend a few hours to get it to work. There will always be limitations (no mail or IM).

If you spend close to $60/month on Boost anyway the new Boost Curve is a better deal because it's supported and everything should "just work".

  25. Thanks og-cpu big dee....your the man! So if i had a deal to get a used curve 4 half don't do it?

  26. Dell, Yes a Boost SIM will work in Nextel phones, including BlackBerrys. On BBs, out of the box only voice and PTT will work.

With some hacking it's possible to get text messaging, web, Gmail, Opera Mini, Google maps and a number of third party apps to work. On the Curve you can watch streaming videos, but only on a WiFi connection.

If you are interested start here: http://jezghani.blogspot.com/2009/07/boostberry-how-to-everything-you-need.html More information at http://wiki.howardforums.com/index.php/Boost:BoostBerry and http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=1530734

Also Boost just launched Boost Unlimited CDMA BlackBerry service with all BlackBerry features enabled including BB Mail and IM for $60/month See: http://plans.boostmobile.com/blackberry.aspx

Some of the apps and games on BoostApps.com do work on BlackBerrys but many do not. That's not really a problem as it's pretty easy to put games and apps on BlackBerries by direct download using the browser or with a cable

  27. hi everyone, a friend told me that you can use a boost sim in a "Nextel" Blackberry curve, download an app and watch videos and do things that i cant do on my i9...any truth? is it worth the switch? will i still be able to use this site? thanks alot for any clarity.

  28. i will try to test more games but i tried snaptu it worked but very slow on my i465 i think u need a i9 for it

  29. BAMA BOY, Thanks for testing those games and apps, I'll check them out and post at least some of them.

I tried Snaptu awhile ago and it was unusable because the keys didn't work. Maybe they fixed it, I try it again.

The Notepad is already on BoostApps http://boostapps.com/apps/mini-notepad/

  30. this also works http://www.getjar.com/mobile/18108/snaptu-for-motorola-i465-clutch/

  31. then this note pad also works on my i465 http://www.getjar.com/mobile/14776/mini-notepad-for-motorola-i465-clutch/

  32. i also tried a bible reader app it seems to work http://www.getjar.com/mobile/29005/bible-from-youversion-for-motorola-i465-clutch/

  33. i tested a tony hawk game and seems to work http://www.getjar.com/mobile/28218/tony-hawks-proving-ground-for-motorola-i465-clutch/

  34. HI I just downloaded the Opera mini 5 on my i856w and to me it works great im actually posting this comment from the opera min 5 now. its real fast to me lol

  35. Dave, You are right. I forgot that Boost phones won't let edit any bookmark longer then about 250 characters.

The work around is to add the bookmarklet to Opera Link and let Link synchronize it to your phone.

If you have a PC the easiest way to do that is to that is to install Opera 10.10 on the PC and set up Opera Link on the PC and Opera Mini 4.2. Then paste the edited bookmark into a Speed Dial on the PC and it will synchronize to Opera Mini. Thats what I did on my i776 and both PDF bookmarklets do work

If you don't have a PC you can create an account at http://link.opera.com on a public PC at a library, school, Apple Store, etc and paste the bookmarklet into a Speed Dial at link.opera.com

Link.opera.com is very slow and times out a lot so I don't recommend that you use it if you have a PC that you can install Opera on.

  36. Thanks for your reply Dennis. I tried following the directions at o.yeswap.com, but my i465 (clutch) will not let me edit the bookmark's address. I can edit the title, but that is it. Any suggestions? Thanks.

  37. It's possible to view PDFs in Opera Mini using a bookmarklet. See http://o.yeswap.com Look in the "Tools" section.

  38. I have the clutch. I downloaded Opera Mini and love it. I am wondering if there is an app or plugin with a pdf reader for that browser. Thanks.

  39. Just want to know if you dennis know of any sites like this one if you do plz share. ps: Great site

  40. I've installed Opera Mini 5 on an i9 and an i856. It kind of works but isn't really usable.

Try it yourself by visiting: http://boostapps.com/mini.htm

  41. I just wanted to ask have you or anyone else gotten opera 5 mini beta 2 to work, Ive tried on the i870, i856, i456, i776 and no luck.

  42. Is there a game you can add to the boostapps that is similiar to the unblock me game on the i phone.

  43. I hear you Michael. I would like to post more "serious" apps. But it's not easy to find ones that are legal. It doesn't help that Motorola blocks 3rd party apps from accessing the media player, browser and SD card and internal memory, breaking many potentially useful apps

If you want to help find and test apps, follow the instructions here: http://boostapps.com/tutorials/how-to-load/ to put apps on your phone. If you find any that work and aren't pirated copies of non-free commercial software let me know and I'll post them.

  44. i have used your site alot and i thank you dearly but i would like some serious apps or some direction for the the more delicate uses of the DEbut i856, i also have the i776, and would be more then willing to test any app even if destruction is imminant ! but i would seriously like to find file sys apps that would allow a more extensive use of these phones.

  45. Please try to keep comments on topic. If you have a comment about a specific app make it on the download page for that app, not on the "About" or "Welcome" pages.

Darrin, I've answered your question about Life in Pocket here: http://boostapps.com/apps/lifeinpocket-turn-by-turn-navigation/

  46. i downloaded the lifeinpocket gps, but every time that it says scanning the sat. it never goes any
futher than that. it also will not let me give me directions on my i290. Please help!!!

  47. Ok thanks for the info about spyware, i'm new to mobile and the web. Computers i've been around :) Just could never afford a nice phone. Thanks for the site, like Dennis said, this site is great. I couldn't find any games for my phone, now I have tons to kill time with at work! heh

  48. A stand alone google talk (IM) platform would be awsome.
    Great site for sure.

  49. This site is great!!!!!!! It is sooooo easy to use and the downloads work every time unless your phone is not compatible with the download, then there is nothing you can do from the site except blame the company that made your phone. I recommend this site to all my friends that have iden phones. Thank You so much for this site!!!!!

  50. I doubt that it's spyware. All mobile phones "check-in" with the tower every 10 minutes or so. It helps the network find your phone quickly when you get a call. Ad supported games connect to web to download ads and some games store high scores in the "cloud".
