eBuddy 1.4
eBuddy has shut down. This app no longer works!!
eBuddy is another free instant messaging client similar to Nimbuzz. I like Nimbuzz but some users prefer eBuddy and I’ve gotten requests to add it to BoostApps so here it is.
eBuddy supports Yahoo, MSN, GTalk, AIM, ICQ, MySpace and Facebook. The “Lite” version of Nimbuzz that works on iDEN phones supports Yahoo, MSN, GTalk, AIM, ICQ, Skype, GaduGadu, Hyves and StudiVZ .
One thing that that eBuddy and Nimbuzz have in common is that the keys are mapped incorrectly on iDen phones, use these workarounds.
1. Press the green “Call” key for “OK” key’s action
2. Press the right soft key for the left soft key’s action
3. Press the menu key for the right soft key‘s action
4. Exception : When entering text in a pop up window the soft keys (labeled OK and Cancel) work as labeled.

The link appears invalid, D. I keep getting ‘page not found.’ Also, even 1.5 works for adding facebook and myspace contacts to your account, although I’ve had to add contacts with usernames containing characters other than letters and numbers with the eBuddy wap cuz nimbuzz says they’re invalid otherwise. It’s weird, but it works. Lol
Thanks. that’s really good of you except that i don’t have a computer right now. lol. i dunno why the nimbuzz team made such a significant change and didn’t/doesn’t provide an archive of older versions.
Jiesendao, I have Nimbuzz 1.1 for BlackBerry: http://boostapps.com/files/Nimbuzz_pc.zip Unzip and install with Desktop Manager.
I haven’t been able to find V 1.1 of the regular Java one for the Motorola’s.
it’s not easy to find the old distribution, but i’d really like to get it back on my boostberry.
nimbuzz full versions run fine on iden phones i425 up n aren’t as resource hungry as eBuddy. However, v 1.5.0 uses a new UI I don’t like. v 1.1.0 uses same UI as lite. Would b a great addition here. ALL contacts added on full v r available on lite too!
