eBuddy 1.4
eBuddy has shut down. This app no longer works!!
eBuddy is another free instant messaging client similar to Nimbuzz. I like Nimbuzz but some users prefer eBuddy and I’ve gotten requests to add it to BoostApps so here it is.
eBuddy supports Yahoo, MSN, GTalk, AIM, ICQ, MySpace and Facebook. The “Lite” version of Nimbuzz that works on iDEN phones supports Yahoo, MSN, GTalk, AIM, ICQ, Skype, GaduGadu, Hyves and StudiVZ .
One thing that that eBuddy and Nimbuzz have in common is that the keys are mapped incorrectly on iDen phones, use these workarounds.
1. Press the green “Call” key for “OK” key’s action
2. Press the right soft key for the left soft key’s action
3. Press the menu key for the right soft key‘s action
4. Exception : When entering text in a pop up window the soft keys (labeled OK and Cancel) work as labeled.

The latest version of eBuddy (v1.5) is incompatible with Boost phones.
how can i get the newer verizon on my i9 for ebuddy it keeps tellin me to update to the new verzion and a error keeps poping up UNHANDLED EXCEPTION HELP ME!!!!
I tried the new eBuddy, version 1.5. It reports a Claa Validation error and fails to install on my i776.
Minus the whole keys mapped wrong which is very frustrating, there is also a newer version available with bug-fixes and the like. So maybe that version will work better on my Clutch. All I know is this app either freezes my phone or is very slow or buttons don’t work. 🙁 I tried them all and the web based interface version of Ebuddy via Opera Mobile is the best of any multi protocol chat client. Which is what I’ll use for now until I can get an app that works well on my clutch without being slow.
Also I found an dedicated app at getjar.com for linkedin.com It says it is compatible for my phone. Loads on the clutch. creates a desktop Icon, but never runs. Any way you can take a look at it and see if you can get it to the clutch and get it working? Official website only has an Iphone app and a Palm WebOS version. But the one at GetJar seams official as well but I can’t say for 100% sure. Thanks.
I tried the new eBuddy, version 1.5 but it fails to install with a Java error loading classes which basically menns its incompatible.
