FoxyTag – Detect Police Radar and Traffic Light Cameras
This app is supposed to use the phone’s GPS to warn you of nearby police speed radars and traffic light cameras. The data comes from other FoxyTag users and you are asked to contribute by reporting any speed traps and traffic light cameras that you see. The app installs on my i776 and the GPS, data connection and sound all work.
Registration at www.foxytag.com/en/registration.html is required to use the app. You also have to send a text with the words “FOXYTAG reg oln” to +41793816010 which is a number in Switzerland as part of the registration process. I registered on the site and sent the text and got the email within a couple of minutes. And Boost didn’t charge me anything extra for the international text. Correction: I’m on Pay As You Go and was charged the normal 10 cents for the text. Unlimited users are charged 10 cents for sending an international text.
I haven’t taken this out on the road yet so I have no idea how effective it actually s.

Dennis, I installed this with no problem on my samsung seek, but I cant send the text no matter what to the number you posted. I added the +, took it out, used the +41, tried +1, all it does is sit in my inbox. Please tell me EXACTLY what I need to place as the contact number and the text you have, FOXYTAG reg oln, is different from the one I saw online when I registered twice. However, I can’t even send the text to even see if it works. I am very eager to try this app, but I can’t…please help. BTW, thanks for doing all of this for free.
When you register on the FoxyTag website you enter +1 followed by your 10 digit phone number. So if your number is 123-456-7890 you enter +11234567890
The website will tell you what to send in the text and what number to send it to. In my case it was “FOXYTAG reg oln” to +41793816010
I just tried again and the number (+41793816010) was the same but the message was “FOXYTAG reg fud”. So it looks like the message is unique for each user.
When you enter the number into the phone, you enter the whole number including the +. If it’s not sending maybe Boost CDMA doesn’t support sending international texts or perhaps you have to call Boost to activate international texting.
Right now this would be more effective in all out Nazi police states like the UK,Au,France etc.. than most states in US although we are %80 there Via Mass Propeganda which is less visible to average Amerikon sheople. We need an anti propeganda app lol
