UC Browser 8.0
The UC Browser 8.0 Beta was released this week. It’s a pretty big update, especially in look and feel. Here’s how UC describes the new version:”
Beautiful looks – Beauty is not the patent of iPhone or Android phones, Java phone could also make it. The classical black gives you a cool tech style.
More efficient – In UC 8.0 Beta for Java.We optimized the interface layout and menus, you can find the useful features easily.
Magical action function – When you operate on Windows via PC, it’s convenient to choose what you want in the right mouse botton menu. The right mouse button in different places, then the popup menus are different. In the same philosophy, UC Browser knows what you want when you stop at a place and gives the most convenient options to choose. Otherwise, U can press shortcut ‘1’ to start this funtion more conveniently. When you move to different elements, the actions re different.
Not only beautiful, but also intelligent – Do you still think excellent user experience is just belong to high-end phones? Ucweb said no. We think A good Browser is what can provide good browsing to all users.”
The new interface is a shameless copy of Opera Mini 5.0 and later but other than that I like the new version. All the sites I tried; including Twitter, Dabr, Facebook and Gmail loaded without error, looked good and worked well.

sir plz upload more full touch screen games and also apps…this softwere doesn’t installed.
Why not 5 minutes after i sent my last message did my firmware update itself? Now its just fine, seeing how im using my default web from my Incognito to send this! Shocked and amazed once again!
Glad you got your phone to work again. Sorry a download from here caused you so much trouble. I don’t really know what happened. Other BoostApps readers use UC Browser on their Incognitos without problems and I never had any trouble with it on any of my phones.
I have an Incognito and for some reason after i downloaded the UC Browser, a lot of my other java apps and built in apps quit working! I cant even get on here to download anymore apps now bcuz when i try it says it cannot launch the app! I called Boost and all they did was make me update the firmware, which had no effect! Any suggestions?
It sounds like the phone’s Java subsystem got corrupted. Here are some things you can try to fix it.
1. Reset the phone’s settings to restore all the factory defaults, including ringtone types and display settings. Contacts, History, Calendar, and Messages are not affected:
a. On the home screen highlight the Home icon and press OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > Reset/Delete.
b. Enter your lock code (default lock code is the last 4 digits of your phone number) and press CONTINUE (left softkey).
c. Highlight Reset Settings and press Continue (left softkey).
2. If there’s a Sprint store (Sprint company own store, not just an authorized dealer) many of these have a technician who may be able to resolve the issue. Sprint stores are not obligated to help Boost customers but many will if you ask (poliely :)).
3. Reset Phone to reset all settings and erase all data on your phone. This will delete all your Contacts, History, Calendar, Ringtones and apps you have downloaded, pictures stored in main memory and messages. You can copy pictures and contacts to the memory card to preserve them but I don’t know of any way to back up the other items.
a. Back up contacts to memory card: On the home screen highlight the Home icon and press OK > Settings/Tools > Tools > Memory Storage > Save Contacts. (You will see a confirmation. Press YES (left softkey) to proceed. (Please wait while the
system creates your data.) DO NOT remove the microSD card while files are being accessed or transferred. Doing so will result in loss or damage of data.
b. Copy pictures to memory card: Highlight the home icon and press OK > Pictures > My Photos & Videos > In Phone. Press the left softkey or OPTIONS (right softkey) and choose Copy/Move to Card
c. After the copying completes remove the memory card to preserve any contacts, music and pictures you have saved there.
d. On the home screen highlight the Home icon and press OK > Settings/Tools > Settings > Reset/Delete.
e. Enter your lock code and press CONTINUE (left softkey).
f. Highlight Reset Phone and press Continue (left softkey)
g. When the reset completes, replace the memory card and restore your contacts. Highlight the home icon and press OK > Tools >
Memory Storage > File Manager > Memory Card. Highlight your contacts backup, press OPTIONS (right softkey) and choose Import.
Yea i just saw this and tried what u said…i hope sprint will be nice because other than whats stored on my memory card (saved my contacts, etc…) its now gone and i still cant use my java apps and now my web is done. I have to submit this on my computer! Starting to think i should have left it the way it was. At least i could have used the browser…not blaming you one bit, i know all this stuff is “at your own risk,” but shocked me also because i rely on the web when im on the go, which is a lot! Thanks for trying tho, i know u did what u could and ur a good guy
Dennis when are you going to post de new (Opera mini next)
