WebWag
A mobile widget framework that can run hundreds of different widgets including a weather app, headline feeds from CNN, CNN, Yahoo, Techmeme and many other on-line news sources, a notepad, to-do list and Twitter and Facebbok clients.
WebWag needs a fast processor, large screen and lot’s of memory to run well. I found it frustratingly slow on my i776. Some of the widgets, like the weather one, were to big for the screen. It should be better on the i9 or i856 and StratMatt, who found WebWag and posted it on the BoostApps forum, says it works flawlessly, other than the usual key mapping issues, on his i465.
When you install WebWag it asks you about your interests and adds a number of widgets based on your answers. You can add and remove widgets using the app but if you have a PC, it’s easier and faster to configure WebWag using the desktop web site at webwag.com/startup/
I found that the news feeds like CNN and Engadget worked best on my i776. The Twitter client also worked pretty well and was quite attractive. But it was very slow and unlike dabr.co.uk it can’t display Twitpics and other embedded Twitter content. The Facebook client seems broken and get an error every time I tried to log in.

I cant download it on my incognito is there any other site to download it at? I clicked the jad and it says sumthin.
The apps on this site are tested on Motorola i series Boost phones like the i776. Some will also work on an Incognito and some won’t. can’t tell you which will because I don’t have the phone to test with.
There are lots of download sites. There’s a big list here: http://wapreview.com/?id=200 Two good ones are: http://wap.getjar.com/ and http://mobilerated.com/wap/
No matter what site you use not every app will work on every phone. You generally have to try several to find one that works.
Also take a look at: What apps are you running on your Sanyo Incognito? on Howard Forums to see what other Incognito useres have found that works.
slow on my 465.
deleted it
Were you using an i465 phone or an i465 emulator ?
Hmm . I can’t seem to get this to work flawlessly on my i465 . But maybe I was having an ADHD moment . A wider screen and faster processor is a must .
If you click on my name it takes you to my personal blog where you will seea “webwag this”chicklet.Im curious if this can be turned into a user bookmarklet Making adding non-mainstream blogs easier to add?Any coders willing to give it a shot?
Thanks,
Matt
