Mini Zork

A condensed version of the interactive fiction adventure  game Zork I, the first commercial computer adventure game, originally published in 1980 for the Apple][ and Radio Shack TRS-80.

Zork is set in a huge underground labyrinth filled with treasures and man eating grues and trolls . The goal of the game is to find and enter the “Great Underground Empire” and emerge alive with the 20 treasures of Zork.

The game runs in the open source ZeeME Zcode interperter. Zork and hundreds of other interactive fiction games are written in ZCode. Visit the author’s site for for instructions for getting other games into ZeeME, which requires a PC.
