I’ve published quite a few Tetris clones on BoostApps but Tetris fans are a picky lot and have their favorites. Developer Jordan Kiang wasn’t happy with any of the of Java ME Tetris games he tried on his phone so he built his own. His primary goal was to reproduce the look, scoring and game play of the 1989 Gameboy version.

Features include a choice of levels 0-9, high scores, adapts to all screen sizes, no ads, doesn’t use data.

Keys: press any number key to start the game (use Fn + number on QWERTY phones).

Up = rotate block; OK (Call on iDEN phones) = drop block fast

Type: Free open source
AuthorJordan Kiang
Data Connection Required: No
Minimum Java ME profile: MIDP 1.0
Screen Size: All
Reported working on: Motorola Rambler, Motorola i776

    • Dennis says:

The Prevail is CDMA but it’s an Android phone and can not run the Java games on this site. But the good news is that there are many more and much better free games for Android phones in the Android Play Store. Just click the Play icon on your phone.
