Last ? and it's about my i776. I acquired a BT90 extended batt. and it's SUPER! I can't find the extended cover for the i776. Motorola doesn't have it! I'm going nuts surfing for one! Between this n my other regular batt. I get 8hrs use! I'm lost on this.
Relating to the last question here. Not only it doesn't display in one page but I've got to scroll around just to read the site just like Bolt! 3.1 I've had to use for my i776 lately for reading cause I don't have to scroll. Sigh, any suggestions???
I know what you mean. Opera Mini disables mobile view on sites it "thinks" are mobile sites. The trouble is that it oftens gets it wrong disabling mobile view on all Blogger blogs. Plus many mobile sites are designed for wider screens than the i776. I think it's a bug but Opera calls it "as designed" and refuses to fix it.
Question again. Dennis, why does the 4.2 not display sites in one page like it used to on some? I've had to load 3.1 in the background because it always forces a one page display. Hmmm, so I use 3.1 on some sites. Wish I can use 4.2 solely for browsing.
I need some help when I try to log on to anything using my motorola i465 I can't type in my email address, which has and underscore (_). How can I type it in?
Press the SYM key to enter symbols like the underscore.
I just got the incognito phone and i try downloading the opera mini but where is it. Like whem i had the cluth it would be on new apps.
I think downloads go to "MyStuff" on the Incognito.
My friend tried downloadin Opera Mini on her i450 but kept gettin a "authentification" or initilization error when trying to install it. Can this be fixed?
That sounds like Opera Mini 4.2 is incompatible with the i450. Try Opera Mini 3.1 instead.

A 404 error means "Not Found" It usually happens in the browser when you mistype a URL or click a link that points to a non-existent page. Did you get a 404 for something on BoostApps?

Ive checked all thru the phone but still cant find them. Opera loaded fine, but not the games.
It sounds like the install failed, in which case you should have got an error. This site is mainly for the Boost iDEN phones. None of the games are tested on CDMA devices and I've heard that most don't work. Try http://m.getjar.com People say it works well with the CDMA phones.

I think downloaded games and apps are stored in "My Stuff" on the Incognito.

That's normal. When you choose "Open" in Opera Mini it attempts to launch the browser to handle the download. That fails for two reasons The iDEN phone OS allow 3rd part apps to access the browser and it doesn't support downloading through the browser either.
hey, is it normal 4 opera 4.2 to take up 4.1 million k of data space? that seems allitle much lol. i have it on my 465 clutch if it make ne diff.
I've seen those sort of crazy data space numbers for various apps. It's obviously a bogus number as these phones only have about 6000 KB of data space. Seems to be a bug in the phone's Java implementation. As long as your free data space doesn't drop below about 100 KB you should be fine.

It depends on the phone the i776 has 6000 KB of total data space. Which phone do you have.
well just installed the opera mini 4.2 on my i465 and seems to work fine so far.
Those of you using Opera. Check your Java System, make sure you got about 500k and above! It helps esp since some of the phone's memory is used from there. Even the MMS messages. Should keep you running FAST!

I haven't found a good Java Twitter app period. http://dabr.co.uk or http://tweete.net in Opera Mini are better than any of the stand alone apps.
Angela, I agree with Dennis! Why tie up your phone's memory on something that runs FAST ON OPERA like Tweete.net? I use the BETA version and it's got more functions than a PC does.;) Smile
hi Dennis ive been kinda having some trouble with my opera browser its would load a page really slowly and then stop so i did what i can to lower memory being used up,so i deleted some apps, pictures and txt messages and history and deleted my history,

The Bolt browser is supposed to let you watch videos on the Incognito
Opera Mini 5 works well on the Incognito.
i thought opera had copy and paste..it did on my old virgin mobile..how come it doesnt on my boost?
Only Opera Mini 4.2 and 3.1 never had copy/paste. Opera Mini 5, Bolt Full and UCWEB do have it.

Landscape - rotates the screen 90 degrees so it's wider than it is tall
Full screen - removes the top and bottom bars so the the web page can use th full screen
i have been going back and forth between this and version 3 for over a month on my i465. this version makes facebook & myspace look kind of bad. the pages are too wide for my screen and some radio buttons don't show up right. ver. 3 is also faster.
I wish the photo uploader in 3.1 was also in 4.2! I use the uploader on my WAP sites as well as Tweete! Ability to send a pic online with an iDEN phone is so appealing... Anyways like lightning on Yahoo's mobile site. Was using full site mode for awhile..
Hi, Using the Opera 3.1 I encountered the blank white screen again! I once d/l 3.1 twice after it happened and it did get on Yahoo! My current 3.1 has bookmarks and afraid so lose them.Dennis will I lose my current bookmarks if I d/l 3.1 again to test???
The intermittent white screen is an Opera Mini server issue, reinstalling won't help. But as long as you install over the existing copy without deleting it first you *shouldn't* lose your bookmarks.
GOOD NEWS! Yahoo mail mobile now works as of this message. I complained to them because I was a Yahoo Beta tester myself yrs ago. Crossing my fingers that it was only a broken link. It works now using the Opera 4.2! Will test 3.1 and file a report here.
dennis two problems, first tmz.com doesnt work with my 776, second yahoo mail sometimes doesnt work. i get a error message. but it will be okay on 3.1 and bolt 2.0
I think everyone has trouble with Yahoo Mail it doesn't seem very robust. I'm getting a blank page for TMZ too
Disable the web. The Boost web doesn`t work. But the Opera Mini web does. And you can surf any site.
Here`s a little secret for Boost Mobile pay as you go users. If you have the web enabled on your phone, download Opera Mini ( any version. As long as it works on your phone). The web costs 35 cents a day on the pay as you go plan. It`s very costly.
And my 3.1 won't engage mobile email at all. As soon as I log on the screen folds like it should cause it's so east, then goes to a white blank screen! I even shut off the phone,took battery out. Still doing this. If i can get 4.2 to function, I'll be ok!
Dennis, I got a problem. We both use i776 and Opera 4.2. Well it won't let me log off Yahoo mobileemail server. Says remote server closed. So I'm stuck in using desktop mode for Yahoo. Any suggestions my friend on this? Just started yesterday! Sigh..
Not really other than retrying. Or maybe it will work Bolt or UCWEB. I often have trouble with Yahoo's mobile sites which seem to have become increasingly flakey over the last year or so probably as a result of all the layoffs and reorganizations at Yahoo. I'm glad I switched to Gmail a couple of years ago
Dennis, I was playing around with the iDEN picture uploader on Opera 3.1. Is there away or an app to augment this where I can take the pics I already have in my i776 and have them displayed in this uploader on 3.1 for uploading???
The way this uploader is now is that it'll only accept pics you take on the spot for immediate upload. Was hoping there was maybe something I missed maybe? This uploader is perfect for sites like Ebay and online stores that have that BROWSE button for u/d!
The uploader in Opera Mini 3.1 only lets you take a picture and upload it immediately. It can't access the file system to upload stored photos.
You might be interested in the free Motorola iDEN Media Downloader which lets you copy photos (and videos on video capable phones like the i856) from your phone to a PC using a data cable.

Dennis I'm using the i776 like you! It does put me right back on the page but why it says memory full makes me scratch my head. Sorry, I didn't mean reboot, never had to. But it comes at times,just not often. Other than that I fly online like you do!
I know I appear ramblingbut this generation hadn't fought the 8 bit computer wars. I supported Commodore's, Atari's, Apple's, Tandy's systems against IBM! And now I see this. Think the sites would learn from the past! That's my opinion and 2 cents worth.
I feel like we're being boycot'd from those sites. Years ago I'd crash an IBM for not allowing us on there sites. Too old and not young and foolish anymore. I believe in equality and freeware to all devices. Why I'm against giant corp's not supporting all.
I ditched AOL because it wouldn't let me in to full site view like Yahoo's. Now my Blog by Google is doing this and it used to display on one page! Saw somewhere it was Microsoft's fault. Never did like them, monopolizing the market. Facebook too! Stinks!
Dennis, mentioned it on Howard's but I noticed my Opera sometimes has a java memory full. Bumps to App menu then I reboot. Not a big deal,any idea what's doing it? Hadn't mentioned this before,just curious as to why. I got plenty of memory!
Hm, do you have an i856 by any chance? I've heard it's not very stable.
On my i776, when I get the out of memory message it doesn't reboot, I just press OK twice and I'm instantly back on the same place on the same page where the error occurred.
I usually only get out of memory errors when I'm trying to run multiple apps, especially Google Maps and Opera, at the same time.
I was just gonna post that. But yes, Dennis is correct. I've had to remove my battery and I always leave it on socket.. I was side tracked by giving tips.. Thanks again Dennis! For Everything..
Sometimes when I click a link while on Twitter using Tweete BETA. The web site that I'm going to has big letters so I immediately STOPpress 1 and select reload and it loads PERFECTLY! Works everytime.. Go Opera!
Another tip is when a site loads and it's text is slightly to one side. Instead of using the 4 or 6 keys to align. Just press or tap cursor down on your cursor pad. While it's loading and it centers the text for you! I use it on Yahoo, Google, etc.
Couple of tips: When a web site sometimes loads to a size bigger than your screen. Immediately stop it, press 1, make sure your mobile view is checked and reload! The site will reload to your format.
Anna, I leave mine at 19200 or 19.2 but only other I'd risk using is the auto... Make sure you reload pages, sometimes it's a busy server. But it's the BEST for us...
I know the Opera 5 doesn't WORK! Not at all like the other Opera's... I just think people said that so that it was available and then found out that it really didn't work at all. That's my opinion,been online 25yrs! Have seen alot and ran BBS's..
Hi Anna, You'll find the 4.2 can handle much more than BOLT or the 3.1! I run my online stores and upload photos using my media upload in my phone. And who needs a PC? I've already proven it can be done with your phone and with the Opera, WE'RE FAST!
I just got a new i465 tuesday, and i downloaded the om 4. And it is running really slow. So i changed the baud rate to highest setting as that helped on last phone, but its not helping now. my phone web is running faster than the om 4! i dont get it. btw, i dont like bolt.
In the Settings menu ensure that Protocol: is Socket. If that doesn't help, shut down Opera, turn off the phone, remove the battery for 30 seconds or more then put it back and restart.
i like this better than 3. i have the i465 and it works beautifully!! the 5 doesnt work good.
